WOOHOO - 37 Weeks!

Baby boy you can come now whenever you wish because

Do you SEE how tired your mama looks?
We took this photo Sunday when I had on black shirt/black leggings (before i put my dress on over it) and my belly looked absolutely humungous. I don't even think this picture does justice. To me it seems much bigger than that. My hair is a mess and I look so tired, which I was. So this is it - 37 weeks and 3 weeks to go but I'm hoping for sooner - especially if he's still measuring two weeks ahead, that makes him 39 weeks now!

How far along: 37 weeks today

Maternity clothes: yes and even some of those are not fitting anymore. I straight up wore yoga pants to work the other day. I told the girls I may wear them everyday from here on out.

Symptoms: same as last week. Combine that with more heartburn and more BH contractions/pressure/etc...and waddling a little more each day.

Stretch Marks: none yet

Sleep: I feel so much more tired here lately. Maybe it's because I get up 5+ times a night and it hurts to roll over on each side so I guess that's preparing us for life with a newborn.

Best moment this week: I turned 28 on Saturday, had a great birthday and then one last baby shower at church Sunday. So blessed! Also yesterday we picked up the rocker for his nursery so now today I can finally "finish" the nursery after work. We've also been cleaning and nesting like crazy, set up pediatrician, pre-registered at hospital, and now everything is almost 100% ready for baby.

Movement: Yep, not as much during the day but he is most active from around 7pm-11pm at night!

Cravings: Same ol' - just more sweets, sweet tea, and WATER all the time. I'm forever thirsty.

Gender: BOY! Joshua Cade

Labor Signs: No progress yet at my appt last week, but I feel more and more pains everyday so I hope it's right around the corner.

Belly button in or out: Oooooh, it's out a little bit.

What I miss: wearing regular clothes and good night's sleep.

What I am looking forward to: Finishing the nursery this week, getting the house spotless and another doctor appointment on Thursday to see if we're any closer to meeting him!

Weekly wisdom: My best friend always asked "Has Chad had to push you out of the bed yet?" Well my friends, it has happened. I finally got so big that he literally had to help me out of bed yesterday morning. I think it was because we were both laughing so hard that I couldn't get up. Hilarious!

Milestones: Making it to 37 weeks, full term and baby being 100% healthy so far. It's just such a blessing and we couldn't be more thankful. I've known so many lately who have had complications during pregnancy - some even the unthinkable - it just makes my heart ache and makes you realize how lucky we are for this healthy pregnancy. Also I guess us having a miscarriage the first time really put things into perspective for us and we went through this pregnancy thanking the Lord for every little milestone we made. Never taking one tiny kick, hiccup, doctor's appointment, ultrasound, pinched nerve, symptom, etc... for granted. I have truly tried to cherish each step of this pregnancy and I can't believe the time is almost here. Now just praying for a safe, healthy, easy delivery!

  1. So happy for y'all:) Can't wait to see pics of that handsome boy!

  2. This post made me teary eyed. I absolutely love every day spent with our little Jane, but I often miss being pregnant. I know it sounds crazy, but the time passes so quickly that I wish I was experiencing what you are about to experience all over again and for the very first time. Enjoy each and every day! It is such a very special time!!! You look beautiful. Good luck this week!
